What is this Election?
A primary runoff is held when no candidate receives more than half of the votes in the previous Primary. The two candidates with the most votes go head-to-head in a runoff election, and whoever gets the most votes there will be on the General Election ballot.
Who can vote in this election?
If you didn't vote in the primary, you can vote for either party in the runoff election.
If you voted in the Primary, you can only vote in the same party's runoff primary.
What is the next election?
The Georgia General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 6th.

To register as a voter in Georgia, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a resident of Georgia and the county voting in
- Be at least 17.5 years old
- Not serving a sentence for a felony conviction
- Not have had a court ruling of mental incompetence

Where do I vote on Election Day?
On Election Day, you can cast your ballot at your designated precinct voting location.
To find yours, visit the Georgia Polling Place Finder.
All polling places in Georgia are open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm local time. If you're in line when the polls close, you can still vote!
Can I vote by mail?
Any registered voter in Georgia can request an absentee ballot to vote by mail!
Absentee ballot requests must be received by July 20th,
and returned no later than July 24th.
I'm in college away from home, which state do I vote in?
You can either register to vote in Georgia or the state you're attending school in — but not both!
I'm not in the US right now, how do I vote?
If you are a military voter or a United States citizen living abroad, you should request an overseas absentee ballot.
Can I vote before Election Day?
Yes! Skip the lines and vote early in Georgia. If you're going to be busy, out of town, or otherwise occupied on Election day, this is the best time to vote.
Early Voting period is between Monday, July 2nd and Monday, July 23rd.
What ID do I need to vote?
Voter ID is required to vote in Georgia. The following forms of ID are accepted:
- Georgia Driver's license (expired is fine)
- Any photo ID issued by Georgia or a federal government agency
- A valid U.S. Passport or military ID card
- A valid tribal ID card
